Today was very glum, and frustrating for many reasons. But after not seeing my boyfriend for 3 days, one of them being our anniversary, this was quite the surprise. 

I hadn’t spoken to him for hours, and while I was sitting in the dark watching Captain America my dog began to bark at someone walking through the hallway. Assuming it was just my brother, I yelled at my dog to hush, and unexpectedly my boyfriend opened my door with this huge teddy bear and a letter in his hand. He then said, “I love you, happy anniversary.”

I cried.

No one has ever surprised me like this, or puts up with me like he has. I am so thankful for him.
